Welcome to the Marshfield Dog Park
Our team of dog-loving volunteers
Founded in 2018 by Stephen Darcy, this group of volunteers formed a nonprofit organization with the mission of creating a designated off leash dog park in Marshfield. Our fundraisers, pet food drives and, dog-friendly parties have become annual events. We’re so fortunate to have such an awesome community of pet parents.
How is the Marshfield Dog Park construction funded?
This project is truly a group effort, it would not have been possible without our amazing pet parent community here in Marshfield. Thanks to the generosity of the local businesses, we have been able to raise funds as well as awareness over the years. Once we raised $25,000, we were able to apply for the grant from The Stanton Foundation for $250,000. This is the same grant used for the dog parks in Scituate and Kingston. Thanks to the support of the citizens of Marshfield at the 2022 town meeting, the vote for $175,000 from the Community Preservation Committee was approved.

The Friends of the Marshfield Dog Park non-profit volunteer team has been fundraising since 2018. Our mission is to privately maintain the park. This park is town owned and privately maintained by the Friends of the Marshfield Dog Park volunteer team. We are a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
We have hired a local pet waste removal company to help us keep the park clean and safe to enjoy. South Shore Pet Waste Removal will be cleaning the grounds as well as emptying the small bins inside of the park. Your donations help us pay for this dog waste removal service. We anticipate this annual expense to cost around $13,000.
The town DPW is emptying the trash barrel near the entrance of the park several times a week. We pay for the interior barrels to be emptied. We added two more pet waste stations in the large dog side, in efforts to help keep the park clean.
